Acquiring Partnerships Manager

The Role

As the Acquiring Partnerships Manager, your primary objective is to expand and secure our global network of acquiring partners. You will manage the entire lifecycle of our banking relationships—from initial outreach and negotiation to integration and ongoing performance optimisation.

You will be responsible for ensuring we maintain robust processing redundancy, securing favourable commercial terms, and navigating the complex compliance landscape required to scale our ventures internationally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Expansion & Sourcing

  • Relationship Building: Source and onboard new acquiring banks and payment service providers across key global jurisdictions.
  • MID Management: Lead the end-to-end process of sourcing new Merchant IDs to ensure processing redundancy and scalability.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Secure favourable processing rates, rolling reserves, and payout schedules to maximize our operational margins.

2. Compliance & Underwriting

  • KYC/AML Management: Manage the corporate documentation and "Know Business" (KYB) requirements for all legal entities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Work alongside acquiring partners to align our onboarding flows with their specific underwriting risk parameters.

3. Performance & Strategy

  • Capacity Planning: Maintain and grow processing capacity in anticipation of high-volume, high-growth merchant traffic.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, scheme rules, and regulatory shifts in the high-risk and alternative payment spaces.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in merchant acquisition, payment partnerships, or payment operations.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the global payments landscape, including acquiring, high-risk processing, and varied regulatory environments.
  • Relationship Management: Strong negotiation skills and an established network within the acquiring and PSP industry.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to navigate the legal and compliance complexities of managing multiple corporate entities.
  • Autonomy: A "Unit of One" mentality—the proven ability to drive complex partnership deals from initial contact to live integration with minimal oversight.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to build and manage a sophisticated, global payment network supporting millions of transactions.
  • A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your work directly impacts the bottom line.
  • A remote-first culture with a focus on high-performance and autonomy.
