Payment Partnerships Manager

The Role

You will manage the acquiring layer of our payment department. You are responsible for the full lifecycle of merchant accounts, including sourcing new partners, managing acquirer relationships, and executing the onboarding process through to successful MID activation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquirer Sourcing: Identify and vet new acquiring banks and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) that support subscription-based business models.
  • Onboarding & KYC: Manage the full application process, including the preparation and submission of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation for various legal entities.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for bank agents and PSP account managers to ensure expedited approvals and competitive terms.
  • Capacity Management: Maintain a pipeline of available MIDs to ensure the business has redundant processing capacity and a diversified risk profile.
  • Compliance Support: Liaise with internal teams to ensure all websites and legal entities meet specific acquirer requirements and card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard).

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in merchant acquisition or PSP onboarding, specifically within high-volume digital or subscription sectors.
  • Network: An existing network of contacts within the global high-risk and mid-risk acquiring space.
  • Communication: Ability to manage professional relationships effectively via Telegram, email.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of card scheme rules, regional acquiring nuances (EU, LatAm, SEA), and legal entity structures.
  • Operational Autonomy: Ability to manage high volumes of administrative tasks and documentation independently and keep everything well organised at scale.
